Dembele fears Spurs may lose top names this summer

Mousa Dembele admits Tottenham may struggle to keep their best players if they fail to qualify for the Champions League. Both Hugo Lloris and Jan Vertonghen have indicated in recent weeks that they might look to move on if Spurs miss out on Europe's top competition and Dembele admitted that this represents a thorny issue.

"A club like Tottenham are up there with the top teams and I think they have to be in the Champions League," he said. "I play with these players every day and of course it's my opinion, that we need to be in the Champions League.

"There are a lot of good teams in the Premier League and we have to work hard to reach the top four. We want to win something, too, and if we can get the Europa League, we will take it with both hands.

"Benfica will be the best team we have faced in the competition, but if we played like we did in the second half against Dnipro, we don't need to be scared."
