Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend is being lined up for an England recall.

Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate went to Crystal Palace's 3-1 win at Burnley on Saturday, where Townsend came on as a substitute for the last 11 minutes.

Southgate is keeping tabs on Palace winger Townsend, who has been in impressive form as Roy Hodgson's men move up the table, and that was another reason why he was at Turf Moor.

Although nothing has been decided on a recall as yet, the 27-year-old former Tottenham and Newcastle wideman — who played a crucial role in the World Cup 2014 qualifiers under his now-Palace boss Hodgson but has not played for England in over two years — is in his thoughts, says the Mirror.
