Corrigan urges Man City to stick with Hart

Manchester City legend Joe Corrigan believes Mark Hughes doesn't need a new goalkeeper.

Corrigan, now keeper coach at West Brom, says Joe Hart is the ideal No1 for City.

"A goalkeeper's career is a hard rocky road and Joe will find there are a lot of highs and lows along the way," Corrigan told the Manchester Evening News. "But he's got everything you need to be a top-class goalkeeper.

"For a big man, he is very agile and a good shot-stopper. He's also a great kicker of the ball. He's got a bit to learn about positional sense and reading of the game. But that will come with experience.

"The one piece of advice I would give him is not to get too confident. With over-confidence comes a danger that you'll fall flat on your face."
