Wales coach Chris Coleman has assured Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams he's in his plans.

The 22-year-old suffered an ankle injury in the Eagles' final pre-season friendly of the summer, after Farnborough midfielder Nic Ciardini scythed the Welshman down in the first half.

"Jonny Williams has had a real good impact," Coleman said.

"He brings something different, I saw the tackle on Jonny in pre-season, it was a cowardly tackle.

"But that's international football, you have to roll with the punches, I'm not complaining."
