Club and country honour at stake for Suwon Bluewings

Suwon Bluewings boss Cha Bum-keun believes that the honour of both his club and country are at stake when they host Chinese outfit Beijing Guoan tonight.

The two clubs meet in the Asian Champions League Round of 16 in Suwon and Cha knows that it is more than just a contest between two clubs.

"The AFC Champions League is important for the honour of the club and the K-League," said Cha.

"Thanks to the efforts of the players we finished top of the group to earn a tie at home. We want to move to the quarter-finals in front of our own fans.

"The players really want to win this game. The players have prepared well and will do their utmost to win."

Cha is well aware of just how dangerous Beijing can be and said his team would have to be focused at all times, especially when the visitors have a dead ball situation.

"We know that Beijing are a team with good potential. They have a solid defence and get the ball forward quickly and their set pieces are good too," he added.
