New West Bromwich Albion boss Steve Clarke insists Shane Long and Peter Odemwingie can play together.

Clarke is relishing the prospect of pairing the two up front for his new side.

"It's quite an appealing prospect," the 48-year-old told the Sunday Mercury.

"Both of them have proved that they are natural goalscorers and if you have two goalscorers who can score goals it's a big plus.

"Scoring goals is the most important part of the game.

"If you're strong in defence and you've got a couple of natural goalscorers then you always have a chance."
