Chelsea and Manchester City are set to go head-to-head for Inter Milan fullback Douglas Maicon.
Real Madrid GM Jorge Valdano stated yesterday they would not be moving for the Brazilian because of Inter's £35 million asking price.
City reportedly made an offer of £25million plus unhappy Brazil midfielder Elano for the San Siro star while Chelsea are said to see him as an improvement on Bayern Munich target Jose Bosingwa.
