​Chelsea legend Lampard shows interest in becoming Oxford manager

Oxford United and Chelsea legend Frank Lampard have held talks over the club's vacant manager's post.

According to Sky Sports, the League One club are considering offering Lampard his first job in management.

Other candidates for the role include Pep Clotet, who was Garry Monk's assistant at Middlesbrough and Leeds.

Oxford are looking for a new manager after Michael Appleton took up the opportunity to become an assistant to Craig Shakespeare at Leicester City.
