Chelsea fullback Marcos Alonso has revealed manager Antonio Conte demanded they dominate Atletico Madrid last night.
Chelsea were outstanding for their 2-1 Champions League win at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Alonso, asked about Conte's pre-match plans, revealed: "He told us we had to come here to play good football with personality.
"It was a great match and the right result."
On goalscorer Alvaro Morata, Alonso added: "He started very well and I hope it stays that way. He has a good shot.
"And Diego Costa, it is a shame he's gone because he was a great player and a great friend."
