Chelsea are continuing to monitor Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly.
The Blues are targeting defensive reinforcements this summer with expected incoming manager Antonio Conte ready to address the area as John Terry gets set to depart.
While Kurt Zouma remains on the sidelines, Chelsea will have just Gary Cahill as a recognised central defender and Conte is eager to add some quality when he arrives in West London.
Juventus star Leonardo Bonucci has been heavily linked, as has AS Roma's Kosta Manolas, while Napoli star Koulibaly remains an option.
It is believed that the Blues have again checked on the 24-year-old Senegal international who was recently offered a new contract by Napoli where he has been since joining from Belgian club Genk in 2014.
