Chelsea boss Mourinho wants Villa's wantaway striker Benteke

Chelsea will compete with Tottenham for wantaway Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke.

The Sun says Chelsea and Spurs will now battle it out for the £30million-rated Belgian hitman after Villa admitted they WILL sell if the price is right.

In a statement, Villa said: "We have informed him that should we receive an offer within an appropriate timeframe during pre-season which meets our valuation we would act upon it.

"But he'll remain a Villa player should this not happen."

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has made 6ft 3in Benteke his top target after missing out on Edinson Cavani to Paris Saint-Germain.
