Chelsea will compete with Tottenham for wantaway Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke.

The Sun says Chelsea and Spurs will now battle it out for the £30million-rated Belgian hitman after Villa admitted they WILL sell if the price is right.

In a statement, Villa said: “We have informed him that should we receive an offer within an appropriate timeframe during pre-season which meets our valuation we would act upon it.

“But he’ll remain a Villa player should this not happen.”

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has made 6ft 3in Benteke his top target after missing out on Edinson Cavani to Paris Saint-Germain.
