Charlton Athletic manager Lee Bowyer says Chelsea fans should be excited about Jay Dasilva.

The young fullback is playing on-loan with Addicks this season.

And Bowyer is convinced by the defender's potential, declaring: "He is very similar to Ashley Cole and he is probably better than Ashley Cole was at his age. Everyone knows how well Ashley was, he was probably our best left-back in England for a long long time, an offensive back. Jay is alike.

"Everyone thinks he's going to find it tough because he's small, but he's incredible in the air.

"He is just a child but he knows how to use the body."
