Celtic's Ki cleared of any serious illness

Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-yeung's scans have returned normal results after he admitted himself to hospital in Seoul this week.

The 22-year old missed Celtic's past two matches because of a virus but still traveled to South Korea ahead of the national team's World Cup qualifier against UAE this weekend.

Upon on arriving in Seoul, Ki checked into hospital complaining of dizziness and vomiting and since underwent a brain scan to ascertain the extent of the problem.

But his results are clear with the Glasgow club releasing a statement indicating the player is fine.

"We made it our priority to ensure he received the appropriate rest and the usual high quality of care and treatment from the Celtic medical staff," read the Hoops satetement.

"Unfortunately the South Korean FA demanded that he travel and then, as Ki still felt unwell, they decided to carry out various tests.

"We look forward to Ki's condition improving and to him returning after the international break."
