Napoli made a failed attempt for Catania striker Giuseppe Mascara, it has been revealed.
Catania sports chief Pietro Lo Monaco confirmed: "In the summer Mascara was close to wearing the shirt of Napoli.
"President (Aurelio) De Laurentiis asked me in person, but then they have not done anything more."
