Carragher: Liverpool squad not good enough to win title

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher says Jurgen Klopp's squad isn't good enough to win the title.

Carragher questioned whether a potential Premier League champion would have Lucas Leiva as third choice central defender.

He also outlined his critique of Loris Karius after the goalkeeper again failed to convince and was at fault for Nathan Ake's winning goal at Bournemouth.

"People keep talking about Liverpool's defensive problems. The back four, maybe Lucas as your third choice centre back, it is probably not enough if you want to go and win the title.

"But I don't think Liverpool have got a poor defence or are poor defensively.

"We were critical of Karius after the game. If you've got a poor defence your keeper is getting worked.

"But he's not making many saves, that tells me Liverpool haven't got a poor defence. The goalkeeper is not having to do anything."
