Cagliari defender Davide Astori has attracted an approach from Cardiff City.
The Daily Mail says Cardiff manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has turned to the Italy centre-back, who is also being tracked by Southampton, after being rebuffed in a bid to sign Lazio's Michael Ciani on Thursday.
Astori began his career at AC Milan and has seven caps for Italy. He has been scouted by Manchester United and Tottenham in the past.
