Sacked Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello has revealed they could have signed Brazilian superkid Alexandre Pato for a fraction of the price he moved to AC Milan for this summer.
"(Real director Franco) Baldini went to Brazil to look at him (Pato)," said Capello, "and called (sports director Predrag) Mijatovic to inform that he would cost £1.5 million.
"But the club answered that he was too young. Now he has gone to Milan for £15 million."
