Burnley winger Gudmundsson unfazed by World Cup schedule

Burnley star Johann Berg Gudmundsson has no complaints about the possible hectic summer schedule which he could face.

Gudmundsson is likely to be part of the Iceland squad which will make its first ever World Cup appearance in Russia this summer.

And if the Clarets manage to finish in the top seven of the Premier League this season and ensure Europa League qualification, then his club football could be resuming during the second qualification round, which is on July 26, just 11 days after the World Cup final.

"I'm not going to complain because I'm playing in the World Cup and the Europa League with Burnley," he said.

"I'm not that old, I think I can handle it!

"It's going really well and I just want to keep going.

"It's nice, even though it's tough to play on Thursday-Sunday."
