Burnley star Michael Keane admits that he had a point to prove after leaving Manchester United for the Clarets in 2015.
The 24-year-old progressed through United's youth ranks but left the club after making just one league appearance for them.
Since joining the Clarets, he has emerged as one of the best central defenders in the country and subsequently made his England debut against Germany on Wednesday.
He said: "I always thought I would make it at United.
"A few changes in managers did not help and when I left I felt I had a point to prove and it made me work that bit harder.
"I am thankful to Sean Dyche for the work he has done with me and the faith he has put in me.
"Maybe I have proved a point. I have done well personally so there is not much more I can do."
