Burnley defender Carlisle: Errors must end

Burnley defender Clarke Carlisle accepts they must cut out the individual errors if they're to succeed away from home.

The Clarets were beaten at West Ham United on the weekend, despite knocking three past Robert Green.

Carlisle told the Lancashire Telegraph: "We've shown we can play away from home.

"It's just there were individual and collective defensive errors that have cost us dearly and we can't afford to do that. But at the times that the goals were scored we weren't under severe pressure or anything like that, the majority of the goals were scored on the counter-attack.

"We need to tune into the dangers when we're in possession and not just out of possession.

"At West Ham we scored three fantastic goals, we could have had a hatful more, but defensively as individuals and collectively we need to be sharper, we need to sense danger and do our job more efficiently.

"We need to go away and grow and learn collectively as a team."
