Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce says he'd have no problem keeping Marlon King if a deal with Hull City falls through.

"It's not happening at the moment," said Bruce. "And if it's not going to happen soon I will probably knock the deal on the head. It's gone on long enough.

"If it's not going to happen, Marlon will be part of the squad here and rightly so, that is what we pay him for.

"There's no problem with him staying here. If the deal is not quite for him and the player isn't sure in his own mind, it's his prerogative to stay."
