Boxing champ Ricky Hatton has backed Sir Alex Ferguson over his controversial autobiography.
Manchester City mad Hatton can understand Manchester United fans being upset with Fergie's revelations.
But he wrote in the Manchester Evening News: "Given his standing in the sport, you wonder why he felt the need to put so many revealing things in the book.
"He's always backed his players from top to bottom. The problem Sir Alex had is that he was writing an autobiography.
"There is no point in writing a book unless you are going to be honest. In that sense he has done nothing wrong.
"I know all about that because I've just written my own where I was brutally truthful about a lot of painful things that have happened in my life."
