Lee Bowyer insists Birmingham City's form fade in the league has nothing to do with their FA Cup run.
After Wigan Athletic's visit on Saturday, Blues begin the countdown for their first FA Cup quarter-final since 2006, at Portsmouth.
The possibilities - even the prospect of a bye should Pompey go out of existence - were not affecting Blues in the league, said Bowyer.
"No, it's not a distraction at all.
"We have got a good draw. The Cup is completely different to the league and, to be honest, we have the mentality to take each game as it comes and try to win it.
"We have got Wigan next and that's what we will be trying to do first, get the three points, then look towards winning at Portsmouth," he told the Birmingham Mail.
