Borussia Dortmund are set to nick American prospect Giovanni Reyna from under the nose of Manchester City.

Goal claims Reyna, a USA U17 international, is set to leave New York City FC's academy for Dortmund.

NYCFC are Manchester City's MLS partners and the Premier League champions have first refusal on all their players.

However, Reyna is set to pursue his European career in Germany rather than England.

The 15 year-old is the son of former City midfielder Claudio Reyna, whose relationship with the English giants saw him appointed NYCFC sporting director.
