Blackpool boss Holloway: Man City should get rid of Tevez - and then sue him!

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway has urged Manchester City to take Carlos Tevez to court.

Ollie explained in his column for the Mirror: "Manchester City's owners should sell Carlos Tevez to the first bidder in January - and then make it their mission to sue the Argentine for every penny he's got to make up for the money they are certain to lose.

"When Tevez wanted to leave City in the summer he was told that he could go to any club willing to cough up £40million. It's an astronomical sum, all right, but a fair price given that only a few months earlier Chelsea had bought Fernando Torres for £50m and Liverpool replaced the Spaniard by handing over £35m to Newcastle for Andy Carroll.

"There were no takers for Tevez though because by then he was already adding to his reputation as a troublemaker. People in the game knew that a truce would only be reached when City agreed to sell him below his market value so that Tevez could maximise his earnings elsewhere.

"It stinks."
