Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes is giving former Manchester United midfielder Quinton Fortune every chance to win a contract at Ewood Park.
However, Hughes is still hopeful that the player could prove himself at the club and secure a permanent contract.
"Quinton is still injured," he told the Lancashire Telegraph. "He hasn't been able to train for the last few weeks and we haven't really had an opportunity to look at him.
"But obviously he wants to get fit and show us what he can do."
Despite a trial with Sunderland earlier this season, Fortune has been without a club since being released by Bolton last summer.
