Blackburn can select Campbell despite match-fixing arrest

DJ Campbell is free to play for Blackburn Rovers this weekend just a week after his arrest for alleged match-fixing.

The 32-year old striker is one of six players who have been arrested and bailed until April next year following claims of match and spot-fixing in football games.

Despite this, Rovers boss Gary Bowyer revealed that Campbell would be available to play against Yeovil Town on Saturday.

"DJ came back in training on Tuesday and has trained with us, so he's a normal squad player now, he's available for selection," Bowyer said.

"We just have to keep seeing how we are and monitoring how he is. We'll just judge him as every other player."
