Birmingham City are digging in their heels over want-away defender Liam Ridgewell.
The Daily Mail says Birmingham have rejected a transfer request from Ridgewell ahead of the deadline.
West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City have been linked with the defender throughout the summer but have yet to make a move.
The 27-year-old, who can play left back and centre half, is keen to return to the Barclays Premier League and hoped a transfer request would help push through a move.
