Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has shut the door on a return to Anfield for off contract Newcastle striker Michael Owen.
The News of the World says Owen's hopes of returning to Liverpool have been dashed after Benitez shunned a last-ditch plea to take him back to Anfield.
