Benfica are prepared to sell Liverpool target Maxi Pereira.

The Daily Express says the Reds have been told that they can sign Benfica defender Maxi Pereira for just £5.5m this summer.

Pereira has just one year remaining on his contract and has stalled over signing new terms at the Stadium of Light.

Earlier this week Pereira cast doubt over his future at Benfica, saying: "I do not know if I will continue."
