Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick can't rule out Niklas Sule leaving for Chelsea this summer.

The Germany defender has been linked with Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea this week.

Asked about the rumours, Flick said yesterday: "Niklas is definitely an alternative, regardless of whether it is as a midfielder or fullback. He did well against Schalke. Do not forget that he had a long injury absence.

"Niklas is a fast player who is calm with the ball and helps to shape the game from the back line. Given his size, he has absolute strength and I'm glad he's on our team. We will see how everything develops and how he sees his future.

"I am satisfied with his development, you can rely on him."

Sule has a contract with Bayern to 2022.
