Barcelona plan to loan midfielder Oriol Busquets to a Primera Division club next season.

The holding midfielder has spent the 2019/20 campaign on loan at FC Twente in the Netherlands, and the aim for next season is for Busquets to seal another loan move before returning to the Camp Nou, reports Marca.

Busquets, who is of no relation to current Barcelona first-teamer Sergio, has played 21 games for Twente, starting 20, and he is set to return to Catalonia in June.

However, Quique Setien has a plethora of options in midfield and, as such, it will be difficult for the 21-year-old to have game time next season.

The idea is, therefore, to have Busquets head out on another loan, as he has already outgrown Barcelona B.
