Barcelona defender Gerard Pique insists he and Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos get along.

The pair have clashed in El Clasico games and across social media this season.

But Pique insists to Movistar: "It is a show, that people consume not only on the field but also outside. Sergio and I know the relationship we have. A relationship with a lot of respect, very cordial.

"When you get together with the national team for a month for competitions like the Euros and the World Cup, you get closer. Afterwards, each one defends his own. But always with respect and I do not think there were any bad words.

"As a general rule, the rivalry is healthy, especially between the players. I do not think the limits have been reached."
