Barcelona sports chief Andoni Zubizarreta insists they are treating Arsenal with respect in their pursuit of Cesc Fabregas.
Barca have angered the Gunners after allowing comments from Xavi about Cesc's situation to appear on their official website.
But Zubi insists: "The position is of utmost respect for Arsenal, because it is the club that owns the player. From this, our job is to create proposals that may be of interest to Arsenal.
"We do not want to do things by force, we care only that the goal is reached. The negotiations will be open, face to face and not behind backs."
