Former Newcastle United boss Jim Smith is happy seeing his old team turning their form around.
Smith still keeps tabs on results on Tyneside.
He told the Evening Chronicle: "I live in Spain now but I always, always see how Newcastle get on.
"They've had a bad year really in 2014.
"And I have to say at one stage I feared the worst for them.
"But they've turned it round.
"It's great to see them doing well again - and winning. That's what the fans deserve."
