Major League Soccer (MLS) expansion franchise Austin FC have struck a local television rights deal with Nexstar that will see their games air on KXAN (NBC Austin), KBVO (MyNetwork TV) and KNVA (The CW Austin), reports, www.sportspromedia.com/
The CW Austin will be the flagship English-language home of the team and carry the majority of its regional broadcasts during the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Any remaining local telecasts not assigned to the network will be aired on either NBC Austin or MyNetworkTV.
The deal with the three networks ensures that all local broadcasts of Austin FC's regular season matches in the next two years will be available via linear television in the greater Austin metropolitan viewing area.
The club is yet to announce a Spanish-language or streaming deal, but said further details will be released prior to the upcoming 2021 season.
