Charlie Austin has revealed his reasons for not putting the pressure on QPR to sell him in the summer.
The star striker was a target for a number of Premier League clubs in the recent transfer window but eventually remained at Loftus Road despite the fact he was keen on a return to the top flight.
However, 26-year-old Austin had previously pushed for a move away from his club when he left Swindon Town for Burnley in January 2011 and insists he did not want to go through that again.
"I did it at Swindon and I regretted it," he told the Daily Mail when asked why he didn't push QPR harder.
"I got my move but regretted it. I turned all the Swindon fans and everyone on me and I put doubt in to my team-mates' minds. I didn't like that.
"It was a mistake I have learned from."
