Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson has emerged on the radar of Sunderland according to reports.
The Black Cats are looking to continue their summer spree and are open to the 21-year old English right-back joining on a season-long loan.
Paolo Di Canio, who is also searching for a left-back, has brought in Ondrej Celustka on loan from Trabzonspor to provide competition for Phil Bardsley at right full-back but would also like Jenkinson at the Stadium of Light.
