Santi Cazorla was in a buoyant mood following Arsenal's 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
The Gunners have returned to form with two wins on the trot, including the midweek triumph over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, after their 2-1 loss to Manchester United last weekend.
Danny Welbeck's 60th-minute header guided the north Londoners to a vital Premier League win at The Hawthorns which was warmly received by star midfielder Cazorla who suggests the confidence of the squad is creeping back in after a few negative results.
"It was an important game for us because we needed to win. The last two games have been important for the confidence of the team and we played very well," he told BT Sport.
"When I play with (Welbeck) it is good and the team's performance was good and now we need to continue playing the same way."
The victory allowed Arsene Wenger's side to temporarily move up to fourth on the league table with the remainder of Saturday's fixtures still to be completed.
