Arsenal have expressed interest in Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.
Aksam says the 23-year-old is set to leave the Bundesliga club this summer.
The Turkey international, who has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, is said to have a £32.5million release clause in his contract.
Chelsea and Lazio are keen, though Arsenal have now stepped in.
Calhanoglu will be free to play next season after serving a six-month ban over issues regarding his transfer to Gladbach.
