Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes the standard of the Europa League is the highest it's ever been.

The Frenchman was speaking before his side take on AC Milan in the second leg of their last-16 tie at the Emirates.

The Gunners hold a 2-0 aggregate lead after an impressive win at the San Siro last week.

Wenger said: "We play Milan for the chance to reach the quarter-final. You look who is in there - Milan, Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, all the French teams.

"You have many good teams in there and this competition is maybe this season at a higher level than ever before."
