Arsenal, Man Utd owners boosted President Trump's election

Owners for Arsenal and Manchester United made major election contributions to US President Donald Trump, it has been revealed.

Pictures emerged yesterday of Trump's son Barron wearing an Arsenal kit in the White House garden.

And it has now emerged Arsenal's main shareholder Stan Kroenke donated $1m (£780,000) to the United States President, reports the Daily Star.

The cash was used to fund celebrations to mark the start of Trump's four-year term earlier this year.

Manchester United director Joel Glazer slapped down $250m (£195,000), official records reveal.

Shahid Khan, owner of Championship side Fulham, also gave $1m.
