Arsenal are ready to hand Kieran Gibbs a new contract.

The Daily Star says Gibbs, who is playing in the European ­Championships in Sweden, will land a deal thought to be for five years with the Gunners.

His wages are set to soar to around £1m a year following an impressive season in which he deputised for the injured Gael Clichy at left-back.
