Arsenal are scouting Sassuolo striker Domenico Berardi.
Italian transfer journalist Nicolo Schira reports both Arsenal and Leicester have been monitoring him.
The two clubs have sent scouts over to Italy in recent weeks to track his situation. Sassuolo have set a £25million price tag for their captain, with a number of clubs fighting for his signature.
Napoli and AC Milan are also interested in signing the 27-year-old.
Berardi has been in fine form this season - in 26 appearances for Sassuolo he has registered 12 goals and 14 assists.
His current contract does not expire until June 2024, but he could leave the club as soon as the summer after impressing some of Europe's best managers.
It was recently revealed that the Gunners aim to make a host of additions this summer.
