Ajax star Dusan Tadic has been injured in a home burglary.

De Telegraaf says the attack took place when the Ajax forward arrived home after midnight on July 28.

Tadic was getting out of his car when he realised something was wrong as he was approached by two armed men wearing helmets.

He immediately tried to flee the scene but was involved in a physical confrontation with his assailants.

It's said the former Southampton star managed to pull up the visor of one of the pair before slapping them.

Tadic, who suffered minor injuries to his hand and tore his clothes, was able to flee to a local restaurant while the robbers fled on a scooter after the fight.
