Ajax midfielder Dusan Tadic has handed Getafe a backhanded compliment ahead of their Europa League showdown.

Ajax are in Madrid on Thursday for the first-leg of their round of 32 tie.

Tadic is aware of Getafe's physical style and declared: “They are warriors. They compete for each ball and really give it their all.

"They are physically very strong and go beyond the limit if necessary.

"Getafe is a very strong team, I saw them against Barcelona on Saturday. They lost 2-1, but it could have been 2-2. To be honest, they deserved a draw.

“They dare to push hard, even at the Camp Nou. Sometimes they don't even let the goalkeeper keep possession. We have to prepare very well for Thursday.

“It will not be easy, but we are the Ajax. We have to qualify, we want to go very far in this Europa League."
