The Italian agent of Bayer Leverkusen winger Tranquillo Barnetta does not expect Newcastle United to push for the Swiss.
Barnetta is a confirmed target for Newcastle boss Alan Pardew, but injury has delayed any deal.
Francesco Moretti told TMW: "His contract? It expires in 2012 and now we have not talked about a renewal. Does this mean he'll definitely go? There has been an interest from Newcastle, but then they turned to another target.
"I think at this point it is more likely his departure will be in January or in a year, when his contract will expire."
