AC Milan's Beckham rues missed chances in Man Utd loss

AC Milan midfielder David Beckham was ruing some missed chances after his side lost 3-2 to former club Manchester United in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Beckham, who is on loan from MLS club LA Galaxy, was up against his old club for the first time and played 72 minutes of the Round of 16 clash at the San Siro but believed Milan could have had a better result if they took their chances early.

"We had three really good chances but you have to put those chances away," he told Sky Sports. "The second half the game opened up and they put them away.

"But it's not over. We'll go to Manchester and it's going to be a tough game, we know that."

Beckham admitted he enjoyed playing against the club he has supported his entire life and said he got a good reception from the fans.

It was all right," he added. "I enjoyed it. The fans were great to me. It's great to play in front of a full stadium."
