A-League Round 6 – Perth Glory v Gold Coast United
In the final match of the round, the leagues co-leaders Perth Glory are at home against a Gold Coast United side who have had two byes in the past three weeks.
That stat alone shows how ridiculous the A-League’s draw really is with most clubs yet to have the week off, but for some reason United have had two.
Anyhow, they are back in action this weekend and meet a Glory team who have scored the equal most goals (with Adelaide United) in the league and have two of the most dangerous goalscorers – Robbie Fowler and Mile Sterjovski – up and about.
That factor, doubled with the home ground advantage of nib Stadium, should see Perth take the chocolates and record a fourth win of the season.
Verdict: Glory 3-1.
