Zabaleta rejected offers from Spain and Italy to sign with West Ham

Pablo Zabaleta has revealed he rejected offers from England and abroad to sign with West Ham United.

The Argentinean full back will move to the London Stadium on July 1, after his contract expired with Manchester City at the end of this season.

32-year old Zabaleta enjoyed a nine-year stint at City, and he says his infatuation with the Premier League helped him reject offers from Spain and Italy.

"It is true that I got a few offers from clubs from Italy, some interest also coming from Spain and also from England," Zabalets told the club's website.

"Of course that decision came also by thinking about my family. I expressed myself to them that to keep playing in the Premier League was a priority. I love the Premier League so much. Of course West Ham has always been my first choice and the reason that it is a fantastic Club and I have a lot of respect.
